Apple iTunes Music and how it changed the face of the Free Mp3 industry
April 27, 2011Technology is moving in leaps and bounds and it is hard to keep up. Where one minute there is CDs and DVDs the next minute the whole world has gone digital.
You can now take your entertainment on the road with you. And it’s getting easier with each passing day to do so. These new digital media players are lighter, smaller and more sophisticated than ever before.
Without doubt the most advanced media player at this time is the series from Apple with the range of free songs for your iPod seemingly endless. And that’s just the start of what the i series offers.
Portable DVD players are a thing of the past, and although you can still buy them, the dramatic drop in price is evidence enough that this is a dying technology. SO you have always been able to play music on your portable device, but if you wanted any other type of media then you needed a portable DVD player, and now matter how advanced they got, they were never going to get that small.
A popular item – the portable video and DVD player was good because you could plug in an external monitor effectively making your normal DVD player redundant, but the same goes for digital media.
Some portable players are designed specifcally to be used in the car, and now a days this is the only type that sells usually, although with nearly all new cars having iPod connectivity it is surprising they still sell so well. I guess its because they are cheap and that’s why people buy them and do not buy itunes or iPod music.
Other portable DVD players lack an attached screen but they could be easily plugged into TV monitors wherever you go in a car, boat or vacation house. You have also the option to use one as regular player at your home.
It’s almost like a portable computer when you look at its functionality and what it can do. It also means the quality is always top notch and no more worrying about jumping discs.
Regardless of the type of portable music player you choose, and whether its the lates iPod from Apple or an older portable DVD player, you should always consider purchasing the headphones separate. A good quality pair of headphones can make a huge difference to the output of sound and video that you get.
There is no point in spending all this money on a quality media player only to go cheap on the headphones and end up listening to bad quality sound.
When looking at where the digital media age is heading I definitely think Apple are in the best position to take us forward from here. I recommend Apple as the company to take us in to the future. range of music players and the advances in iTunes and the App store it is surprising that anyone else can even think to keep up.
