Blackstone Artists Management Tracks Promotion
May 5, 2011Blackstone Artists Management is excited about the artists that it sponsors. In particular, it is enthusiastic about the prospects of two of its pianists. Victor Stanislavsky and Hung-Kuan Chen are exciting talents that have generated considerable good press.
There is enthusiastic response to Mr. Stanislavsky’s work from audiences throughout Europe and also Asia. He had done dates recently in such countries as Russia, China, France, and Germany. He has performed as a soloist in these engagements, but works frequently with orchestras as well. His performances in the past have had to be structured to meet the obligations his service in the Israeli armed forces demanded.
The man is Ukrainian, born there back in 1982. His family moved to Israel in 1990 where his piano study began. Within a couple of years, he was winning awards and recognized as a talent. Universities in Tel Aviv have granted him degrees in music.
Another of the great pianists that the agency represents is Hung-Kuan Chen. Born on the island of Taiwan, he was raised in Germany. Recognizing his talent, he received a scholarship from the Avery Fisher Institute in 1991. Next came a medal from the Arthur Rubenstein Foundation.
Among the many competition that Chen has triumphed in are those of the Busoni institute and that of Geza Anda. The Queen of England has given him a medal as has the city of Montreal. After this he toured as a member of the Young Concert Artists. There are a pair of departments that Mr. Chan is currently in charge of in the city of Shanghai. Both are dedicated to the piano. His career in academia began at Boston University where he was part of the faculty while also teaching in Canada and another New England institution.
Chen is familiar to audiences all over the world. He plays dates all over Asia, the Americas, and throughout Europe. He works with famed orchestras in Shanghai, Israel, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Houston, Baltimore, and San Francisco. Among the conductors he has been privileged to work with are Andrew Parrett, George Cleve, Sui Lan, Hans Graf, and Christoph Eschenbach. Some of the major dates that are coming up for him will be one at Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as in Boston, and San Francisco. Overseas dates include some in Shanghai and other large cities throughout the world.
