King Of Hindi Film Industry – Shah Rukh Khan

Film actors are certainly an inspiration in everybody’s life and to be a star like them, people might have tried umpteen times. These actors, who have become super stars, are still well-connected with their audience. Some of the megastars touch the hearts of many of their fans with their charisma. One such great superstar is Shah Rukh Khan, who is known as the king of Hindi film industry.

Shah Rukh’s popularity is not only restricted to Bollywood or India, but it has gone far beyond and touched the hearts of several people across the world, of various nationality, language and culture. Proving this beyond doubt is the success of his latest film My Name Is Khan with Kajol, his close friend in the film field. The film became the highest profitable film in his acting career. One can say that the popularity of Shah Rukh is reaching several more places everyday in the international arena. His upcoming films RA One and Don 2 are eagerly awaited by all.

How he entered the world of movies is a story of talent and hard work. He started off in TV as an actor in several serials like Fauji, Circus, Dil Dariya, Doosra Keval and several more. When acting in serials like these, he was able to fine-tune his acting talent, learned from Barry John, when he worked with Theatre Action Group. Deewana was his first movie as an actor, which got released in the year 1990. Deewana fetched him Filmfare Best Male Debutante Award in industry. The film was also a hit that year. The next year seemed to be good for his acting career as all of his films became commercially successful. The role in Baazigar fetched him the trophy of best actor and he was nominated for best villain for the film Darr in 1993.

It was not just about winning awards but the credit goes to him for selecting characters, which were different. He portrayed a negative character in the film Anjaam but played a role of a son in Karan Arjun. He portrays the character of a carefree person in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ), who at last takes on all challenges to get his lover. He received the award for best villain for Anjaam and award for best actor for DDLJ.

Among his long list of films, Yes Boss, Swades, Don- The Chase Begins Again, Paheli, Chak De India, Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Pardes, Duplicate, Dil Se, Veer-Zaara, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Main Hoon Na, are the recent ones.

He is cordial in nature and is friendly to all his co-actors (male and female), technicians, producers and directors. Audience also appreciate his talent as a TV anchor and a producer. Shah Rukh Khan rules the film industry with Padma Shri (from the Indian Government) and 13 awards from Filmafare.
