People Enjoy Viewing Horror Movies

Fear is a driving force within any human being, and when forced to make a quick choice, the fight, or flight, feeling must be challenged. This seems to be a primary intention for these films. Watching a scared, pursued, threatened individual, as he, or she, tries to survive, can fill us not only with fear, but also with pride, pleasure, or dread.
Several films have an element which works to alarm movie goers. That element is screaming. Actresses who can scream like crazy, are employed to help move the viewers toward being afraid. Nothing pierces the walls of an auditorium, like the shrill sound of a female victim. This works to cause some in the audience, to scream, as well.
These flicks have been around for more than one hundred years. Someone probably started them by playing on the fears we gain while still children. You probably remember being little and becoming afraid of the monster under the bed. You would cover your head, with your blankets, in hopes he would never come to get you. How silly you felt in the morning but, still the scariness remained.
There also were times, you may have had to travel home by walking in the dark. How often a shadow would pass, and you were sure some menacing figure was about to grab you, and pull you into the bushes. Even within the boundaries of your own home, you were certain a werewolf, or vampire could gain access to you, through utilizing your closet.
As much as we may feel sorry for the victim, there are facts which can pull at our souls about the criminal. He may have gone through repulsive experiences which are unspeakable. This may have affected him in a way where he can not trust any person. Therefore, for his hatred of those atrocities, he kills others so that he will not be hurt again.
Men love many of these films. Large breasted females, have a grand appearance in these; usually screaming their heads off, as they run in naked splendor. Several males have proclaimed how much they enjoy seeing bosoms bouncing, as they run from their attacker. Never mind that she will probably reach her demise, in a terrible manner.
Apparitions make good fodder for this class of cinema. Down through the centuries, numerous individuals have told the tales, through which they have gained their fears. Some have experienced deceased loved ones, who have visited them in their dwellings. Others have been attacked by entities they can not explain. Their encounters have been recorded in written form, and then transformed into films.
Horror movies are pieces of art, that many have found quite enjoyable. Gory, horrible images can make the cinema more appealing. Most of it is disgusting but, if we remember that it is only a work of amusement, it does not appear so bad. Acting is part of our culture, and performing in these films does not mean it is everything to everyone. Make your own decision on how you feel about these movies.
