The Greatest Upcoming Sci Fi Movies This Year
April 30, 2011The Troll Hunter is one of the upcoming sci fi movies debuting this year. It is about students in college who go to look into killings supposedly done by bears. But soon they find that these killings have an air of mystery to them.
In Transformers third installment called Dark of the Moon the Decepticons want to avenge themselves of their loss with the Autobots. We will see our favorites like Optimus Prime, Ratchet, Bumblebee and Ironhide. A new Decepticon will also be revealed and his name is Shockwave.
Ray Bradbury’s Martian Chronicles is also coming out this year. It follows the original story line pretty closely as earth people have to leave Earth due to its devastation and recolonize on mars. Unfortunately mars is already inhabited.
The Great Marvel Iron Man movies has a new addition coming soon as well. In this third installment we will see even more special effects and mind blowing action. The story line being prepared will also go along way to ensure its success too.
In the sci fi hit Oblivion humans have had to make their homes in the clouds because of the dire state of the surface areas. Artifacts are much sought after on the surface and one man finds more than he was looking for in a downed craft and a entrancing young woman within.
This is definitely the year for super heroes as Green Lantern makes his big screen debut this year. Green Lanterns powers come from his ring which is powered by of course a green lantern. He is set to protect and maintain order intergalactic.
First a book in 1951 by John Wyndham The Day of The Triffids occurs within a Earth post apocalyptic where all humans have permanently lost their sight due to the effects of a massive meteor shower. Plants that have turned and mutated into eating flesh from the humans left on Earth have taken over.
The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to begin shooting very soon but story lines are being kept close mouthed for right now. The lovely Anne Hathaway is slated to make her debut as the sexy and alluring Catwoman and the villainous Bane also comes onto Batman’s scene.
In Transformers third movie Dark of the Moon The Autobots once again must battle the evil Decepticons and also get involved between the Race for Space with the United States and its former nemesis Russia.
The God of Thunder Thor one of the worlds mightiest heroes makes it to the screen too. Thor is cast upon the Earth to live among its people but in return he learns to fight for what is important and save his new home world from evil dark forces.
